Poland is the third largest bus manufacturer in the EU, and there are many OEM manufacturers in its territory. The top three manufacturers are the German MAN, the Polish local Solaris Bus & Coach (sold to a Spanish company in 2018) and the Swedish Volvo. Two local bus manufacturers in Poland, Solaris Bus & Coach and Ursus, were among the first to invest in the development of electric vehicles, giving Poland a good entry point and market segmentation for the development of electric vehicles.

Poland participated in the EU's largest project in the field of electric buses, the Zero Emission Urban Bus System (ZeEUS). In 2016, a total of 88 electric buses were operating in 7 demonstration cities in Poland, of which more than 90% of the electric buses were Manufactured by Ursus and Solaris Bus & Coach. Over 700 electric buses are in operation in Poland this year. In the first quarter of 2022 alone, as many as 79 vehicles have joined the fleet. More than 1,350 electric buses are expected to be in operation between 2022 and 2024.

In the field of infrastructure, the leader is Ekoenergetyka-Polska from Zielona Góra, which has launched 437 charging stations in Poland with a total capacity of 61 MW. In Poland, a total of 520 electric bus charging stations are currently in use, providing more than 70 MW of electricity in more than 50 cities.

The "Taiwan-Poland Power Electronics Technology Week" held this time invited two research companies, IMIF & KOMEL, under the largest Polish research institute Łukasiewicz, which are specialized in optoelectronic materials (such as Micro Structured Fiber, Transparent Ceramic, Infrared Photonic…) and Electric vehicle motors (5KW ~ 420KW) are all quite good products. At the same time, Ele-DriveCo, a Polish company specializing in heavy duty and marine batteries, was also invited. In addition to explaining product technology, the three companies will also share business opportunities in power electronics in Poland (Eastern Europe). Domestic automotive electronics and green energy leaders are welcome to participate.
